The objectives of this course are to acquire conceptuals tools to apprehend?
biology based on the genotype / phenotype relationship, in the context of laboratory induced mutations and of variation in natural populations. The contents will include advanced concepts in genetics, including the physiological basis of genetic effects, their dependence on environment and genetic background, the genetic analysis of natural variation and of human disease, and ?the role of mutational biases due to the genotype-phenotype relationship in shaping phenotypic evolution.
