This year's Art Tours will be adding a new dimension to the event - we also plan on showcasing performance art. Venues are being set up for music performances, acting and poetry reading, and dance if there is enough interest from participants. If you would be interested in participating in any of these events, submit your request, promotional material or information and your questions to performance@mbcac.org.
Depending on the response from performers, we are hoping to schedule continuing performances at centrally located venues, which will be published in the art tours catalog and advertised extensively. There will be a sound system and crew provided, along with

The 29 Palms Creative Center & Gallery is giving birth to an exciting new concept: starting a Teen Art Studio Club for ages 7 through 12th grades. A small handful of local teens are eager to get the ball rolling in their new green studio and they need your support, and help getting the word out to other teens and their parents who are interesting in joining the Teen Club.
On May 11, Saturday from 4 to 8pm, the Creative Center is hosting a Teen Art Studio Fund Raiser celebration. The public is invited to join the fun festivities with live music, caricature drawings of you or face paintings on you, anime demonstrations and selling of talented Teen art in their newly acquired art making space at the Creative Center compound.

An MBCAC Members Group Show is on exhibit through May 14 at the offices of the Bob Burke Joshua Tree Government Center, located at 63665 Twentynine Palms Hwy, Joshua Tree.
On exhibit are Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council member artists Alita VanVliet, Chuck Caplinger, Darlene H. Morris, Janis Commentz, Marjorie Franklin, and Tami Roleff.

Joshua Tree Art Gallery will host a performance by Odeya Nina - A Solo Voice, in Collaboration with Archie Casey Bassonist, on Saturday, May 18, at 7:30pm.
A Solo Voice is an hour long electro acoustic investigation of the sound spectrum of the physical body, exploring the relationship between ourselves and our bodies, our bodies in our environment, and our perception of sounds in space as organized by our mind.
