Radio Free Joshua Tree announces its new home - the Radio Free Joshua Tree Listening Lounge!

RFJT announces its next giant step, bringing it all back home to the location which formerly housed Red Arrow Gallery and the world-renown Beatnik Cafe, at 61597 Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree.

With a new logo, designed by internationally acclaimed local painter, Diane Best, Radio Free Joshua Tree is proud to present its Grand Opening gala, on Saturday June 8th at 5pm - and it's first gallery show in the Listening Lounge - when RFJT presents an exhibition of new paintings by Randy Conner, entitled "You Are Now Offline."

The photography of Hilary Sloane and scupltures by Valerie Davis are currently on exhibit at the 29 Palms Creative Center through June 15.

With a creative career spanning photography, fine art, film and fashion, Hilary Sloane found a passion for shooting uniquely beautiful imagery based on but not dependent on reality. She uses manipulated imagery to lead the viewer to witness the land as they would witness a friend's life, close up and personal.

The 13th annual Car Show and Street Fair returns to downtown Twentynine Palms on Saturday, June 1, from 5 to 9pm. This is a free family event, featuring prizes, food, music, and old-fashioned fun.

Local photographer Mike Fagan and painter Esther Shaw have works currently on exhibit at the 29 Palms Inn.

Mike truly has an eye for capturing the essence of the Joshua Tree National Park and Esther's paintings creatively reflect the native landscape and plants of the high desert. The show runs through July 6.

The Friends of the Joshua Tree Library and Morongo Basin Cultural Arts council present local artist Snake Jagger's whimsical surrealist paintings, currently on exhibit at the Joshua Tree Branch Library.

This year's Art Tours will be adding a new dimension to the event - we also plan on showcasing performance art. Venues are being set up for music performances, acting and poetry reading, and dance if there is enough interest from participants.
